CERTIFICATIONS

The Custom Picture Framer Certification is one of the best ways to determine whether or not a frame shop has the expertise to handle your art properly and with the utmost attention to preservation. If you have valuable art, you want to know that your framer understands how to frame your work such that it can be taken out of the frame in 20 years exactly as it went in.

The CPF designation is awarded by the Professional Picture Framer's Association to experienced framers who take and pass a comprehensive exam. At Master Framing we have a Certified Picture Framer on staff.

What does it mean to you?  Simply that Lake Tahoe Master Framing has the expertise to solve any framing problem and do it in a manner that protects your art.

Here is an example of using the outer part of the image for the mat.  The inner edge of the mat is lined with a fillet, a small, decorative bead of wood.  There are many dozens of fillets available.  This one was chosen to coordinate with the frame and enhance the woodsy feel of the image.

These elaborate theater masks needed a shadow box to show them off.  We mounted them on suede and stitched the ribbons so they would hang in gentle curves.  The Bard would have been proud!

Our Customers Say It All

We have thousands of satisfied customers. They (and their referrals) have made us the most successful frame shop in Lake Tahoe.

We frame for the biggest art galleries around the lake as well as the largest selection of corporate and private collectors. The hotels use us. The casinos use us. The motels use us. The Lake Tahoe Community College uses us.  Same for the ski resorts, the tourist boats, the golf courses and the restaurants.  Hundreds of artists use us.  We draw from outside of the basin as well, with dozens of Bay Area customers joining others from across the country.  They come to our shop, see the framing that we do and bring their pieces with them whenever they vacation in Tahoe.

Some of our clients are listed on our Gallery Page, our Famous Collections Page as well as on our Artist Page. Talk to them if you like, and hear what they have to say.

Then come on in and give us a try. We'll give you our undivided attention, our thoughts and advice. And there is no obligation whatsoever. You can order a frame. Or you can just pick our brains for ideas. We're here for you.

Referrals Are Everything

As in all businesses, the best way to find a good vendor is by referral. There is nothing like a satisfied customer to make a another potential customer feel they're in good hands.

Of course, you may be thinking, "I'm looking at this website, and I've never had a referral to this Master Framing company."  (Then again, maybe a referral is what made you check this website out!) Anyway, we operate almost exclusively on referrals. We have a small ad in the Yellow Pages to provide our phone number and location. And we have this website to do the same.

But we don't run newspaper ads. Or radio ads. Nor do we participate in all the coupon books. We don't have fliers at the Chamber of Commerce.  You won't find us listed on maps of the Tahoe Basin or on cafe menus.

Have you been to see Phantom of the Opera or another memorable event?  You can preserve your memories by framing the tickets, the program and any other items that connect to the show.

Or expand your frame concept to include other items from your special night out.

We've had customers frame "evenings," "weekends in the city," even an entire trip to Europe compete with brochures, photos, and knick-knacks from across the continent.

Here are a couple of frames with a unique "western look" that we did for some precious Edward Curtis photos.
